Today, the Editorial Board of the Blue & Gold announced they would close the book for the Academic Year 2021-2022, officially ending their term during the ongoing school year. After a lengthy discussion with one another, including their moderators, they concluded they could no longer work as a team and decided to resign for the sake of the organization.

In an exclusive interview with Mr. Laurence Alfonso, ex-executive editor of the Blue & Gold, revealed what caused the mass resignation—and what will happen next to the organization.

“Iba-iba kasi yung rason ng mga editors sa pag step down nila sa positions nila. It just so happened na sabay-sabay na bring up yung issues ng editors at hindi na talaga nakahanap ng middleground yung editorial board kaya we all had to step down.”

Alfonso had then shared his thoughts on the future of the organization—especially on this year’s golden anniversary celebration.

“Hindi talaga ako sigurado sa kung anong mangyayari sa Blue & Gold, lalo na’t we’re even celebrating our 50th anniversary. Tuloy-tuloy pa rin naman yung pag-produce ng regular content ngayong publication year. Siguro last na anniv na ‘to? Good luck na lang, haha.

The editors from the board, including Alfonso, had also shared their side of the story about what made them decide to resign.
