In a virtual completion ceremony held via Zoom, 199 students of Grade 10 were recognized as junior high completers last June 24, 2021.

In his Welcome Address, silver medalist Koji Yamane recalled the excitement upon starting junior high school. He also highlighted how Marist prepared them for “a world beyond school.”

“The end is never the same as the beginning. Nothing compares to the time we’ve spent with the people we love, for it helps us find meaning in the smallest things and makes memories worth revisiting,” Yamane said.

After the recognition of all the completers coming from five homerooms, gold medalist Arnold Bautista said in his Address of Gratitude that Marist will always leave a mark on them and they will always be a Marista.

“Wherever we go, whatever we may achieve in the future, in our heart, we will always be a Marista,” he said as he ended his address.

Before the program ended, the batch’s song “Minsan” by Eraserheads was performed virtually by all the completers and a video was presented as a tribute to the students who will then move up to senior high school. Marcus Timotii Sison
